Delete account and data

Send request by emailThis page explains how to request deletion of your DeadFinance account and related data. The process is straightforward — no login is required to read these instructions.
DeadFinance is developed by DeadShot Software. If you use Cloud mode (subscription), you can delete your account and synced data directly in the app or through the channels below.
What gets deleted (Cloud account)
When you delete a Cloud account, we remove associated data from our servers, including:
- Login account (email and credentials)
- User profile
- Synced financial data in the cloud: transactions, budgets, fixed costs, balances, monthly planning, closed-month history, cloud settings, and linked notes
- Any voluntary feedback messages sent from your account
What is not deleted automatically
- Data kept only on your device in Free (local) mode — see the dedicated section below
- Phone backups (iCloud, Google Backup, etc.): managed by your operating system, not DeadFinance
- Payment and subscription data handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store): see their policies and cancel the subscription in the store if still active
- Temporary technical copies in system backups: removed within a reasonable period (typically within 30 days), except where required by law
How to request deletion
Option A — In the app (recommended for Cloud users)
RecommendedDeleting from the app is the fastest method. Cloud data is removed immediately or within a few minutes.
- Open DeadFinance on your device
- Go to menu → Settings
- In the Cloud section, select «Delete account»
- Confirm the action
Option B — By email
Send a request to maurocoda5@gmail.com with subject «DeadFinance account deletion request».
Include the email used for your Cloud account, confirm you want to permanently delete the account and data, and — optionally — your reason for the request.
Option C — Form on this page
Fill in the form below: it will open your email app with pre-filled fields. Send the message to complete your request.
Local-only data (Free mode)
If you use DeadFinance in Free mode only, without a Cloud account, your financial data stays on your phone. We do not have a copy on our servers and cannot delete it remotely.
To remove it: open the app → Settings → «Start from scratch», or uninstall DeadFinance from your device.
App Store and Google Play subscription
Deleting your Cloud account does not automatically cancel an active subscription on Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
If you have an active Cloud subscription, also cancel it in your device subscription settings to avoid future renewals. Past payments are handled by Apple or Google under their terms.
Processing times
- In-app deletion: immediate or within a few minutes
- Email or form requests: within 14 business days of receipt
- Confirmation: when possible, we will send a confirmation email to the deleted account address
Identity verification
To protect your data, we may ask you to confirm the request by replying from the email linked to your Cloud account. We do not share your data with third parties during this process.
Your rights (Switzerland and GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data where applicable, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / PFPDT) — www.edoeb.admin.ch.
